Volunteer Training
Tubman's Volunteer and Intern Services team provides an in-depth orientation and training series for all volunteers, interns, and staff. This five-part series allows all volunteers and interns to gain an understanding of Tubman as an organization, understand Tubman's philosophy and guidelines for interacting with those we serve, meet other new volunteers and interns, and cultivate skills needed for their new positions. Topics include professionalism and boundaries, self-care, relationship violence, family law, crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
