You’re invited to join Tubman in a unique hybrid event, “From Our Home to Yours” on Saturday, May 1. Part virtual and part in-person, this 12th annual Starlight Soirée gala—presented by RBC Wealth Management—will celebrate supporters of Tubman’s mission of safety, hope, and healing.
Beginning at 7 p.m. will be a virtual program, free and open to any who wish to watch. The host will be T. Mychael Rambo, regional Emmy Award-winning actor, vocalist, educator, and community organizer, alongside Tubman CEO Jennifer Polzin. Guests can register in advance to receive the link or find it on Tubman’s Facebook event and website the evening of the event. The program will feature stories of this critical time of increased need for Tubman services, as more people are experiencing isolation, fear, and violence due to the pandemic. There will also be an enticing online auction and activities to benefit Tubman’s programs and make sure that when people call for help, Tubman will answer.
For people wanting an in-person experience earlier that day, tickets are available to join Tubman in a socially-distanced tour of our newly renovated Tubman Chrysalis Center in Minneapolis. Guests will learn more about Tubman’s mission and full continuum of services while experiencing the inviting new space honoring namesake Harriet Tubman. Attendees will also receive a catered party box of refreshments to take home at the end of the tour and enjoy during the evening virtual program. Due to COVID-19, tours have limited availability, and time slots will be reserved in advance for groups of no more than four people. Face masks are required.
Individual VIP tickets are $100, with $50 tax deductible. A “virtual table host” option for eight guests (two groups of four on the tour), includes eight catered party boxes and name recognition during the virtual program, is $1,000, with $600 tax deductible.
