    Minneapolis, Maplewood
    ------------------------------------------
    Help care for little ones while their parents attend counseling, support groups, or access other services. Assisting with the direct care of infants and children, Child Care Assistants implement developmentally appropriate learning opportunities and practice conflict resolution to maintain a peaceful, happy and safe atmosphere.

    Personal Shoppers work one-on- one with community members and Tubman clients as they shop for and select casual and business-professional attire, offering a fun, personal experience and empowering support.

    Maplewood Mall
    ---------------------
    The NorthStar Youth Outreach Center at Maplewood Mall connects youth and young adults ages 13-24 of all genders, and their children, to a safe place to access basic needs, receive advocacy and resource referrals. Volunteers and interns at the Outreach Center also engage the community about Tubman and Outreach Center services.

    The Career Specialist, part of Tubman's Jobs, Education, and Finance program will support shelter and youth housing residents at Tubman East in Maplewood as they prepare to enter the workforce, increase their earnings, join a training program, find an internship, or return to school. Complete intakes and follow-up meetings with residents to identify goals such as writing resumes, researching and applying for jobs, and exploring training opportunities or college programs.

    Child & Youth Specialist Interns support children and youth from infants through teenagers who are living at Tubman’s shelter in Maplewood for families that have experienced domestic violence. Provide individualized, trauma-informed care and advocacy through relationship building, on-site activities, field trips, and respite childcare.
    This position works directly on-site at our Maplewood shelter and adheres to Tubman's COVID-19 safety protocols.

    Enjoy working with community partners or planning educational workshops? The Community Partner Coordinator position through Tubman's Jobs, Education, and Finance (JEF) program is looking for an outgoing volunteer to help organize workshops and resource fairs for Tubman clients.

    The Criminal Legal Advocate is responsible for attending in-custody arraignments in either the Stillwater or suburban Ramsey County areas, and relays information about criminal domestic assault cases to the clients involved.

    As part of Tubman's Development and Communications team, the Grant Writing Intern will help research grant opportunities, assist in writing proposals and reports, while gaining valuable skills in grant writing in a non-profit organization.
    Time commitment for this position is a minimum of 6 months. This position currently works remotely.

    Resource Counseling Advocates are responsible for providing crisis intervention, supportive counseling, general information, and referral services to individuals who call or come into Tubman.

    The Legal Counseling Advocate for Tubman’s Self-Represented Legal Clinic is responsible for assisting volunteer attorneys with providing pro se assistance and some legal services such as drafting of court documents, coaching on how to file paperwork, preparation for court appearances, etc. to low-income clients. This is a different position than a Legal Counseling Advocate.

    The Shelter Advocate Volunteer will serve residents with a trauma-informed, strengths-based and client-centered approach while assisting residents to work toward self-sufficiency. This position works directly on-site at our Maplewood shelter and adhere to Tubman's COVID-19 safety protocols.

    The Shelter Case Manager Intern will work with shelter case managers and staff to assess victim/survivor needs to connect to appropriate services and ensure the provision of comprehensive services which meet their needs. This position works directly on-site at our Maplewood shelter and adheres to Tubman's COVID-19 safety protocols.

    Volunteer will be responsible for transporting residents safely and promptly from Tubman East in Maplewood to appointments and errands, or to Tubman Chrysalis Center in Minneapolis. Must be at least 21 years old.
